1. Terms and Conditions Overview

Understanding the venue framework

Riverand Marble is an independent Australian restaurant and offline poker card room. You are encouraged to read this page carefully before booking a table, registering for any live poker experience, or attending the venue for social or private events.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to override your rights under Australian consumer law. Where there is any inconsistency, the mandatory provisions of Australian law apply.

Age, access and lawful participation

3.1 Age requirements

Entry to specific areas of the venue, including the card room and bar, may be subject to age restrictions in accordance with applicable Australian laws and licensing conditions. Where age limits apply, valid proof of identity may be requested by staff at any time. Guests who are unable to provide acceptable identification when requested may be refused entry or asked to leave restricted areas.

3.2 Responsible conduct

Guests must behave respectfully towards staff and other guests at all times. This includes maintaining appropriate table etiquette at poker tables, following guidance from dealers and floor staff, and complying with any instructions relating to safety, seating, and tournament procedures. Riverand Marble reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with venue rules or responsible-play expectations.

All activities at Riverand Marble are conducted in line with applicable Australian laws and local regulations. Guests are responsible for ensuring that their participation in offline poker, Texas Hold'em tournaments, poker nights, and any high roller-style card room sessions complies with any legal requirements that apply to them personally.

3.4 No online participation

Riverand Marble operates solely as a physical restaurant with poker. All poker activities are conducted in-venue at live poker tables. The venue does not offer online poker, remote play, or any form of digital gaming platform. Any use of personal devices during play is subject to venue rules and must not interfere with table procedures, dealer instructions, or the comfort of other poker players.

4. Bookings, Reservations, and Event Registration

Restaurant, poker and event arrangements

4.1 Restaurant bookings

Guests may book restaurant tables in advance through the venue's booking channels or by contacting the team via the Contact page. When you make a booking, you confirm that all details provided are accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of your group. The venue may apply time limits to table sittings, particularly during peak periods.

4.2 Poker table reservations

Subject to availability and venue policy, guests may be able to request seating at specific poker tables or tournament tables. Seating is ultimately at the discretion of the floor staff, who may adjust table assignments to maintain fair and orderly live poker experiences, including table balances and table changes.

4.3 Texas Hold'em tournament registration

To join Texas Hold'em tournaments or other buy-in poker events, guests may be required to register in advance or on the day of the event. Tournament entry, including any buy-in conditions, seat allocation, starting times, and blind levels, will be communicated by the venue or displayed in-venue. Final eligibility for entry and continued participation is determined by venue staff in line with these Terms and Conditions and the relevant tournament rules.

4.4 Private poker and dining events

For private events that combine restaurant dining and offline poker Australia experiences, guests may submit an enquiry via the Private Events or Contact pages. Event details, including room usage, poker tables, tournament structures, and table service, will be confirmed in writing where possible. Additional terms may apply to group bookings and private event arrangements.

4.5 Changes, cancellations, and no-shows

Any modifications or cancellations to restaurant reservations, poker table requests, tournament registrations, or private events are subject to venue policy. Guests are expected to notify the venue as early as possible if their plans change. The venue may apply specific conditions to repeated no-shows or late cancellations, including limitations on future bookings.

5. Code of Conduct and Responsible Play

Behaviour, etiquette and welfare

5.1 General behaviour expectations

Riverand Marble seeks to maintain a welcoming, premium environment that combines restaurant hospitality with a refined poker card room. Guests must treat staff and other guests with courtesy and respect, avoid disruptive behaviour, and comply with any reasonable requests from management or floor staff. Aggressive, abusive, or intimidating behaviour is not tolerated.

5.2 Poker table etiquette

Guests participating in live poker experiences, including poker nights and Texas Hold'em tournaments, are expected to follow standard table etiquette. This may include acting in turn, protecting your cards and chips, avoiding excessive distraction at the table, and following any instructions relating to chip management, seating procedures, breaks, and final-table conduct. Dealers and floor staff have the authority to clarify house rules and enforce decisions in the interests of fair play and guest comfort.

5.3 Responsible play

Riverand Marble supports responsible-play principles and encourages guests to approach offline poker as a social and recreational activity. Guests are responsible for managing their own level of participation and for taking breaks where needed. If you feel that participation in poker may be negatively affecting you, you are encouraged to speak with a member of staff or seek independent advice from relevant Australian support services.

5.4 Compliance with staff directions

Staff may issue directions relating to seating, tournament tables, chip stacks, table changes, or changes to buy-in poker events to ensure that games run fairly and safely. Guests must comply with these directions. Failure to do so may result in removal from a particular poker night, tournament, or, where necessary, from the venue.

6.4 No unauthorised sharing

Riverand Marble does not sell or knowingly disclose guests' personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing. Further details can be found in the venue's Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms and Conditions.

7.2 Responsible service of alcohol

Any service of alcoholic beverages is conducted in line with responsible service requirements under Australian law and applicable licensing conditions. Staff may decline service or ask a guest to leave specific areas, or the venue, if behaviour or circumstances require it in line with these obligations.

7.3 No online play and no affiliation with online operators

Riverand Marble is not an online casino or digital gaming provider and is not affiliated with any online poker platform, external gaming operator, or card provider. All live poker experiences, including poker nights, Texas Hold'em tournaments, and high roller-style card room sessions, take place at the physical venue only. This may include limitations on photography or filming in the card room, restrictions on loud or disruptive behaviour near tournament tables, and controls over the movement of chips or seating between tables. Guests must respect any designated quiet areas, late-night conduct expectations, or closing procedures.

7.5 Tournament and event changes

Riverand Marble may amend, postpone, or cancel scheduled Texas Hold'em tournaments, poker nights, or other buy-in poker events due to operational requirements, safety considerations, or insufficient registrations. Where practicable, the venue will provide updated information through its usual communication channels or directly to registered guests.
